This is a consumer foundation, based in Germany and dedicated to providing unbiased advice on all types of products. Their ratings have a tremendous influence on consumer purchases across Europe.
Based in Lapland, Finland, this independent organisation specialises in winter tyre and car testing under winter conditions.
EU Tyre Label ratings evaluate a tyre based on three performance characteristics: fuel efficiency, wet grip and noise as well as now including snow and ice performance.

The Dunlop Sport Maxx RT 2 took first place in the What Tyre UHP Tyre of the Year 2021 awards, commended for it's impressive performance across a wide range of tests. The tyre won due to its "very good grip on wet reads with low rolling resistance" as well as being championed for low tyre noise at a measurement of 64dB - one of the quietest in the test line up.
German vehicle inspection organisation GTU, motoring organisation ACE and Austrian motoring organisation ARBÖ crowned the Dunlop Sport BluResponse second place in the 2019 Summer Tyre Test thanks to a confiedent dry test performance and no issues in lateral hydroplaning - an outstanding choice in summer tyre.
The Sport BluResponse also made it the podium in the 2019 ACE Summer Tyre Test remarked as being "almost faultless". Rated best for safety and high aquaplaning resistance as well as offering excellent low rolling resistance.
The latest winter pattern in the Dunlop portfolio was rated highly recommended in the 2020 Auto Zeitung Winter Tyre Test - scoring highly in snow braking, rolling resistance and subjective comfort.
Scoring highly recommended across the board, the Winter Sport 5 rated highly in the 2020 ÖAMTC Winter Tyre Test. The tyre took the title thanks to its exceptional wear, performance across a range of snow, dry and wet winter conditions as well as providing lowest fuel consumption over competitors.
Similarly to the 2020 test, the Winter Sport 5 was rated highly recommended in the Auto Zeitung 2019 Winter Tyre Test, receiving high praise for performance and safety across a wide range of winter terrain conditions.
Winner of the ADAC 2019 Winter Tyre Test, the Dunlop Winter Response 2 took the crown thanks to its "dependable grip in snow and wet conditions" as well as showing its fuel efficiency with one of the lowest fuel consumptions in the test.

Taking second place in the 2020 Auto Bild Summer 4x4 Tyre Test, the Dunlop Sport Maxx RT 2 SUV performed well across the tests - esepcially in high precision steering and braking in both wet and dry conditions.
The Dunlop Winter Sport 5 SUV was rated "good" in the Auto Bild 2018 Winter SUV Tyre Test, noted as offering "dynamic, sporty wet handling, short wet braking distances and high aquaplaning safety".
The Winter Sport 5 SUV takes the title of "Very Recommendable" in the Off Road Magazine Winter Tyre Test against 5 other competitors, rated for its commendable performance in wintery conditions.
